国民健康保険の扶養について

5/20日に会社の社会保険を抜けるのですが、別居中の母親の国民健康保険の扶養に入る事は出来るのでしょうか？
去年の9月から病気で仕事を休んでおり5月で退職しないと駄目になりました。
色々、調べたところ
(2)別居している場合
年間収入が１３０万円未満かつ被保険者の援助額以下
とあったんですが援助額とは何でしょうか？別居しているので住所は違い、去年の年収は100万ありません。教えていただ…
